Connecting to Athena

Note: PopSQL supports AWS Athena only as a cloud connection.

1. Open the connections page in preferences, see managing connections for more information.
2. Click the Add new Connection button at the top of the connections page.
   
3. Select Amazon Athena from the list.
   
4. Give a Connection name for your own internal reference.
5. Specify the workgroup you'd like to work in, otherwise it will default to the primary workgroup in your organization.
6. Enter your desired Database, Region, Workgroup (optional), S3 Output Location (required if not using a workgroup, otherwise optional), AWS Access Key ID, AWS Secret Access Key, and AWS Session Token.
   as provided by your administrator.
7. Share the connection with your team.
